UPDATE: Child Treated & Released From Hospital After Bus Accident

The Boyle County Sheriff’s Office says a child was treated at a hospital and released Friday after a school bus accident.

Part of Highway 300 was closed after the bus went off the road and landed in a ditch.

Deputies say it happened in the Yates Road area.

They say when the road broke away, the bus over-corrected, went across the road and crashed into a ditch on the opposite side of the highway.

The bus driver was also treated for minor injuries.

The sheriff’s office says the driver, four children and a bus monitor were onboard at the time.
