UPDATE: Child identified in deadly ATV crash in Pike Co.

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A child killed in an ATV crash in Pike County on Sunday afternoon has been identified.

Investigators say 6-year old Keagan Musick died after being thrown from the ATV when the driver, who is also a child, tried to make a U-turn on Porter Lane and went off the road.

State Police say both children were thrown from the ATV.

The other child wasn’t hurt, according to KSP.

Musick was a student at Johns Creek Elementary, according to the school.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

HURRICANE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A child who was a passenger on an ATV died in a crash Sunday afternoon in Pike County, according to State Police.

Investigators say the ATV driver, who is also a child, crashed while trying to make a U-turn on North Porter Lane.

The driver and passenger were both thrown from the ATV when it left the road, according to KSP.

The passenger died at Pikeville Medical Center.  The driver wasn’t hurt, according to State Police.

No names were released.
