Marco Shemwell’s family files lawsuit
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The family of a young boy hit and killed last year during a UK football game is suing a fraternity.
Lawyers presenting Marco Shemwell’s parents announced Thursday they filed a lawsuit in Fayette County against the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity and its UK chapter.
The person accused of hitting the 4-year-old Jacob Heil was a pledge at the fraternity.
According to police Heil who was underage admitted to drinking at an event hosted by the fraternity before the accident.
