LCSO: London woman charged with DUI in multi-vehicle crash

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A London woman was arrested Monday and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence, in connection to a multi-vehicle crash, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say they were called about a four vehicle serious injury crash about a mile and a half west of London, just before 9:30 Monday night. When they arrived, deputies say 43-year-old Jacqueline C. Thurmond smelled of alcohol. After investigating, they determined Thurmond was the driver of the car that allegedly hit the other three vehicles.

Thurmond was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense; failure of owner to maintain required insurance – first offense and assault – first-degree. She was booked in the Laurel County detention center.
