15,000 Easter Eggs up for grabs at Valley Park

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – 15,000 eggs were at stake at Valley Park in Lexington on Easter Sunday.

Children and their families stampeded towards the eggs filled with candy.

Valley Park and Calvary Church of the Nazarene have made this an annual event every Easter.

One Jennifer Reynolds, Councilwoman for District 11, calls it a great way to celebrate Easter and ensures ABC 36 her son got plenty of eggs.

“I saw so many families just grabbing eggs as quickly as they could and he grabbed them too. He didn’t get a whole lot, but he got enough,” said Reynolds.

Calvary says they were expecting about 400 people to attend this year’s Easter gg hunt.
