Dozens Arrested in Powell County Drug Raid
Local law enforcement agencies conducted an early morning drug raid in Powell County on Friday.
Officials say they had 67 indictments for 50 individuals living in Powell County.
They say each suspect was arrested on drug related charges following a five month long investigation.
Each suspect that was arrested Friday was immediately sent to the Powell County Courthouse for an arraignment.
Powell County deputies say those arrested will be transported to a nearby jail since Powell County does not have the space in their prison.
Every suspect arrested on Friday is due back in court on January third.
