8-year-old killed, others injured in Tuesday afternoon collision on I-75 in Madison County

MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) -The Madison County Coroner’s Office has confirmed that an 8-year-old was killed during a Tuesday afternoon collision on I-75 near mile marker 77 in Madison County.

The child, of West Virginia, was pronounced dead after being transported to a Berea hospital.

Although the coroner’s office could not confirm the number of those injured, they did confirm that some victims were taken to Lexington for treatment.

The roadway has reopened and the collision remains under investigation.
