State: 100+ jobs coming to Lexington

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – A company is relocating to Lexington and bringing more than 100 new jobs with it, according to the state.

Anixter Inc., a global distributor of technology, electronic, network and security products, plans to invest $4.23 million and add 103 full-time jobs, as it creates a new East Coast sales hub in Lexington, the state announced Thursday.

According to Anixter, its current 12-employee sales office on Majestic Drive in Lexington will relocate to the newly constructed 38,500-square-foot Turner Development Business Center on Lexingtons Fortune Drive.

The company employs more than 9,300 people.
