Update: Power Restored In Frankfort After Transformer Fire
The power is back on in Frankfort.
The Frankfort Plant Board said an electrical short caused a transformer to catch fire Tuesday afternoon.
That knocked out power to about 3,000 meters.
Crews were able to get half of the meters back on almost immediately.
Power was restored to the rest of the customers early Wednesday morning.
Crews are still trying to determine what caused the electrical short.
No one was hurt in that transformer fire.
