Mick Jagger will undergo heart surgery
LEXINGTON, Ky (WTVQ) – Mick Jagger will undergo surgery to replace a valve in his heart. As a result of the procedure and recovery period, the Rolling Stones postponed the North American leg of their No Filter tour.
Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger announced a health scare forcing the band to postpone its upcoming tour of the United States and Canada. But he says he’ll be back in no time.
But Mick Jagger, the legendary lead singer of the rolling stones, has been ordered to slow down.
According to Rolling Stone magazine, he’s set to undergo surgery to replace a valve in his heart, a common procedure that doctors say should have the 75 year old back up on his feet quickly.
Jagger himself is optimistic tweeting to his 2 million followers that he is devastated, but working hard to get back on stage soon.
His infamous bandmate and sidekick Keith Richards tweeting, “Mick, we are always there for you”
Jagger will reportedly have the procedure on Friday in New York City. And there is no official word yet on when the Stones will pick up their tour, but ticket holders for the original shows should hang onto their tickets for the rescheduled dates.
