Scott County Early Childhood Council announces Champion of Children
SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- The City of Stamping Ground is announces that Amanda Lewis, a Resource Liaison with Stamping Ground Elementary School, will be the first recipient of the “Champion of Children” award from partnering agencies Scott County Early Childhood Council and Scott Countians against Drugs.
Lewis, who has worked at Stamping Ground Elementary School for four years, shows a strong devotion to relieving any barriers preventing a child which keep him/her from being successful in school.
Lewis will receive recognition of her work at the “Spokes for Hope” annual child abuse prevention ceremony on the front lawn of Stamping Ground Elementary, 3233 Main Street, on Thursday, April 11. The ceremony will commence at 11:30AM. Following the award, will be a planting of 250 pinwheels on the school’s front lawn by students, speakers and attendees.
The City of Stamping Ground annual Child Abuse Prevention “Spokes for Hope” public ceremony will include speakers from the City, State and local nonprofit agencies.
