Man arrested on child porn charges

HENDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Kentucky State Police arrested a man in relation to possession of material portraying sexual acts by a minor.

Late Tuesday night KSP’s Electronic Crime Branch arrested 48-year-old Richard Myers Jr. on suspected possession of materials of a minor performing a sexual act.

The KSP Electronics Crime Branch began an investigation into this case when being made aware of Myers Jr. purchasing computer files of child exploitation, and storing them on his personal devices.

The investigation led KSP Electronics Crime Branch to find means to search Myers’ residence in Henderson Co. on March 26. They took equipment that may have evidence, and sent them to a forensics lab to be examined. The investigation is ongoing

Richard Myers Jr. is currently charged with possession of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor, and is being held at Henderson County Jail.
