Sixteen year old charged in Richmond shooting

RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 16-year old is charged in connection to a shooting in Richmond this week, according to police.

Investigators say the teen was charged with 1st Degree Assault and Possession of a Handgun by a Minor following the shooting of 39-year old David Richardson.

He was found shot in the area of North Hill Street in Richmond around 4:43 a.m. on Wednesday.

The teen’s name wasn’t released because they are a minor.
