Newtown Pike lanes back open in both directions after truck hits wire

Lexwrecks reported that Newtown Pike at Nandino Blvd is back open in both directions.

There will be brief closures through the day as repairs progress, Lexwrecks added.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW)– A truck reportedly struck a low-hanging wire on Newtown Pike at Citation in Lexington, causing power outages in the area and prompting road closures, according to Lexington police.

Outbound Newtown Pike is closed at New Circle Road while inbound Newtown Pike is closed at Citation. Traffic is being diverted onto Citation Pike.

No injuries have been reported.
