Missing Garrard County man found dead, sheriff’s office reports

GARRARD COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 News Now) — UPDATE: May 4 at 10:40 a.m.

The Garrard County Sheriff’s Office reports that 83-year-old Ernest Bud Flynn was found dead Monday morning.

According to the sheriff’s office, they are actively investigating the circumstances, but at this time, no foul play is suspected.

The sheriff’s office released the following statement:

“We extend our deepest condolences to the Flynn family and ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”

A search is underway in Garrard County for a missing 83-year-old who was last seen on Kelley Ridge Road on Sunday afternoon.

According to Garrard County Emergency Management, Ernest Bud Flynn was seen around 4 p.m. on Sunday on an orange Kubota tractor hauling hay.

Officials say he was wearing a green button-up shirt and jeans.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call 911.

Kentucky State Police Post 7 and the Garrard County Sheriff’s Office are also helping in the search.
