One dead, two injured in Pike Co. crash

PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- State police say one woman died and two others were hurt in a crash Sunday afternoon in Pike County.

KSP says they were called to U.S. 23 in the Coal Run community just after 3 p.m. on Sunday. They say 79-year-old Margret Wright, of Floyd County, was killed during crash with a vehicle that was trying to make a left-hand turn onto North Mayo Trail.

Wright was taken to the hospital. where she was pronounced dead.

Police say a passenger in Wright’s car and the driver of the other car were also taken to the hospital.

Investigators say drugs and alcohol are not suspected factors in the crash.
