Update: Police Waiting to Interview Victim in Morning Shooting

Lexington Police say they’re waiting for the victim from a Friday morning shooting to recover from his injuries, so they can interview him about his shooter.

Police have had no leads on who shot the man on Daniel Lane around 8:30 Friday morning.

They say the man has been in surgery most of the day and has been unable to talk to investigators.

Police responded to a 911 call of shots fired at the apartment complex early Friday morning.

They say when they arrived they found a man who was shot in the stomach.

One witness who called 911 said he heard the entire commotion and then ran to help the victim.

He says he saw one gunshot to the side of the man and one in the back. He also says he heard two shots.
