Man accused of breaking into building, stealing electricity

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man is arrested after a London homeowner hears strange noises coming from a building near his house and calls authorities.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says deputies went to the building on KY 490 Sunday and found signs of forced entry.

When deputies went into the building, they say they found 58-year-old Matthew Bubacz, of East Bernstadt, hiding behind a mattress.

According to deputies, Bubacz ran an extension cord from the home to the building for electricity.

Bubacz has been charged with burglary.
