Weekend dedicated to Jared Lorenzen at KSBar and Grille

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Jared Lorenzen was known and loved by many in Lexington and all over Kentucky.

His recent passing has brought the community together in different ways.

The Kentucky Sports Bar and Grille downtown has dedicated this weekend to all things Lorenzen.

They are even playing his old games all weekend long on their TV’s.

Co-Owner Drew Franklin says he personally knew Lorenzen and says he wanted to something special for his friend.

“He’s always been one of us. Always been a Kentuckian so even though he’s in the hall of fame and just the guy that has all those yards and touchdowns, he was just one of us and that’s why he was always beloved,” Franklin said.

Franklin says it’s been a fun and busy weekend for them.

22% of all sales will go towards a memorial fund that will be given as scholarships to his kids.
