Father, uncle accused of using shock collar on child
BEREA, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Berea father and his brother were arrested Thursday for using a dog shock collar as punishment on a child, according to the Herald-Leader newspaper.
According to the newspaper, 35-year-old Luke Sampson allegedly allowed his brother, 42-year-old Theodore Sampson, to put a shock collar on his 4-year-old son.
Luke Sampson reportedly encouraged his older brother to shock the boy, causing the child “excessive harm,” according to the newspaper.
Both men are charged with first-degree criminal abuse of a child 12 years of age or under.
