Woman arrested after shots fired incident on Danielle Lane in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – One person has been arrested following a shots fired incident in Lexington.
According to the Lexington Police Department, officers were dispatched around 12:15 p.m. on March 18, 2026, to the 2500 block of Danielle Lane for a report of shots fired.
When officers arrived, they located shell casings in the roadway.
Investigators say the incident stemmed from a dispute between the suspect and the victim, during which the suspect allegedly discharged a firearm toward the victim’s residence.
Police arrested 31-year-old Chelsey Engle in connection with the incident.
She is charged with three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, fourth-degree assault, and discharging a firearm within Urban County limits.
Authorities say Engle is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
