Kentucky women selected as No. 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament
MORGANTOWN, Wv. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – The Kentucky Wildcats women’s basketball earned a No. 5 seed in the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Tournament and will travel to Morgantown, West Virginia for the opening round of the Fort Worth Regional.
Kentucky will take on No. 12 seed James Madison Dukes women’s basketball in the first round of the tournament. They will face off on Saturday, March 20 at 2:30 p.m.
James Madison enters the tournament with a 26-8 overall record and is coming off a championship run in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.
If the Wildcats advance, they would face the winner of the matchup between No. 4 seed West Virginia and No. 13 seed Miami RedHawks.
