UPDATE: Two victims in deadly Laurel County crash identified

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of two people killed in a violent crash near London Monday night.

According to investigators, 21-year-old Dylan Johnson, of London, was driving a Kia Rio northbound on Old Way Road around 9:31 p.m. when he went over a small hill and hit head-on with an Odessey van, driven by 38-year-old Jamie Gilliam, also of London.

Both Johnson and Gilliam were pronounced dead at the scene.

The sheriff says there were four passengers in Gilliam’s van – her husband, 46-year-old Kenneth Gilliam, and three children, ages 14, 11 and 6.

All were seriously injured and taken to St. Joseph Hospital in London.

The sheriff says the 14-year-old and six-year-old were later airlifted to the University of Kentucky hospital.
