State Police investigating car crash that killed a woman

MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- State Police are investigating a car crash that killed a woman in Muhlenberg County.

According to troopers, around 10:30 Monday, a man driving south on US-431 went into the opposite lane, hitting the car 53-year-old Karen Leach was driving head on.

Leach, from Greenville, was pronounced dead on the scene.

The passenger in her car, 79-year-old Linda Embry, also from Greenville was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she later died.

The driver of the other car wasn’t hurt.
