Lane closure on Leestown Road in Lexington may cause delays

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Drivers in Lexington may see delays Monday morning as a lane closure goes into effect on Leestown Road.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, crews are closing the far-right northbound lane of Leestown Road beginning at 7 a.m. Monday for construction work.

Officials say the closure will take place where the road widens, just past Lisle Road to Greendale Road.

While the work is underway, one northbound lane will remain open and left-turn lanes in the area will also stay accessible.

Drivers are advised to plan for possible delays and use caution while traveling through the construction zone.
