Morehead State falls to Tennessee State in OVC championship

EVANSVILLE, In. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – The Morehead State Eagles fell in the Ohio Valley Conference championship to Tennessee State, 93-67, on Saturday evening.

The Tigers took a commanding 55-34 lead at the break, and the Eagles couldn’t make up the deficit in the second half.

Senior George Marshall led the Eagles with 17 points.

The Eagles shot 36% from the field and 30% from 3-point range. Tennessee State outrebounded Morehead State 39-28 and had 15 assists to the Eagles’ nine.

Morehead State finished the regular season 20-13 and 15-6 in the OVC.
