Kentucky State Police investigating fatal Boyle County crash on KY-34

BOYLE COUNTY, KY. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that happened Tuesday morning in Boyle County.

According to Kentucky State Police, the crash occurred on Lebanon Road (Kentucky 34) near Alum Springs Road.

Investigators say a vehicle driven by Frankie Simpson, 41, of Parksville, crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming vehicle driven by Aric Mlejnek, 44, of Nicholasville.

Simpson was taken to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.

Authorities say Mlejnek was also transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
