Fourth-grader Max Alexander set to debut collection at Paris Fashion Week
LOS ANGELES. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A fourth-grade fashion designer from Los Angeles is about to make history at one of the world’s biggest fashion events.
Max Alexander will become the youngest designer to debut a collection during Paris Fashion Week.
Before traveling from Los Angeles to Paris, Alexander showed off some of his designs, including jackets, coats, scarves and a bag made from burlap with snap-on charms. The bag reportedly sold out within 24 hours.
Alexander says his show collection includes 15 dresses, with many of the pieces designed using biodegradable and recyclable materials as part of his focus on environmental sustainability.
The young designer has also built a large online following, with nearly six million followers on Instagram watching his fashion creations.
The fall-winter edition of Paris Fashion Week runs through March 10.
