Dozens of cats rescued in Lexington will soon be available for adoption

LEXINGTON, KY. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Dozens of cats recently taken from a Lexington home will soon be available for adoption.

According to the Lexington Humane Society, 53 cats and kittens were surrendered from a home last weekend.

Officials say the animals are now safe and receiving medical care.

The Humane Society says the cats are expected to be available for adoption over the next few days.

In the meantime, the organization is asking for donations to help cover the cost of caring for the animals after their intake.
