Lexington house fire displaces two, no injuries, says fire department

UPDATE 2 – 4:50 p.m.: Battalion Chief Roberts tells ABC 36 News Now there were no injuries, but two people who lived in the home are displaced.

UPDATE 3:40 p.m.: Lexington Fire Department officials say crews continue to battle the fire in the two-story home.

Battalion Chief Derek Roberts says when firefighters arrive, they encountered “advanced fire conditions,” and started a defensive fire attack from outside the home.

Crews are trying to contain the fire and protect other buildings.

Right now, firefighters are working to bring the fire under control.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Firefighters are working to put out a house fire on Centerville Lane in Lexington.

Crews with the Lexington Fire Department are on the scene. ABC36 crews approaching the area reported seeing smoke visible in the distance.

Details about the cause of the fire and whether anyone has been injured have not yet been released.
