Warning issued in Berea following prowling incident
BEREA, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Berea Police Department is reminding residents to secure their vehicles and belongings following a prowling incident over the weekend in the Brooklyn Boulevard area.
Police say a man was observed prowling in the neighborhood. The individual was later located and arrested on multiple outstanding warrants. Officials say he is also suspected of attempting to break into vehicles.
As warmer weather approaches, officers are urging residents to take extra precautions by locking their vehicles and making sure any belongings left outside their homes are properly secured.
Anyone who believes they may have been a victim of theft is asked to contact police through Madison County Dispatch by calling 911 for emergencies or 859-624-4776 for non-emergencies.
Police are also reminding residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
