Berea Police Issue Safety Reminder After Prowling Incident

BEREA, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — The Berea Police Department is reminding residents to secure their vehicles and belongings after a prowling incident in the Brooklyn Boulevard area.

Police said a male subject was observed prowling in the area overnight. The individual was later located and arrested on multiple outstanding warrants and is also suspected of attempting to break into vehicles, officials said.

As warmer weather approaches, police are urging residents to lock their vehicles and ensure any belongings left outside their homes are properly secured.

Anyone who believes they may have been a victim of theft is asked to contact police through Madison County Dispatchby calling 911 for emergencies or 859-624-4776 for non-emergencies.

Police reminded residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity.
