Kentucky State Police arrest Casey County man on child sexual exploitation charges

CASEY COUNTY, KY. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky State Police have arrested a Casey County man on multiple felony charges connected to child sexual exploitation following an undercover investigation.

Troopers say 34-year-old Thomas Hagen Woods was taken into custody Tuesday in Liberty after investigators with KSP’s Electronic Crime Branch identified him as part of an operation with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Authorities allege Woods distributed and possessed sexually explicit material involving minors online.

A search warrant was executed at a residence in Liberty, where investigators seized several electronic devices for forensic examination.

Woods is facing multiple felony charges and was lodged in the Casey County Detention Center.

Officials say the investigation remains ongoing.
