Bicyclist killed in Hopkins County crash under investigation
HOPKINS COUNTY, KY. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky State Police are continuing to investigate a deadly collision involving a bicyclist in Hopkins County.
Troopers say they were called just after 5:30 a.m. last Wednesday to Charleston Road in Dawson Springs.
According to investigators, a pickup truck traveling northbound crossed into another lane to pass a vehicle and struck a bicyclist who was traveling south.
The bicyclist, identified as 49-year-old David Baggott of Dawson Springs, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hopkins County Coroner’s Office.
The crash remains under investigation. Authorities say no additional information has been released.
