London woman charged with DUI after head-on crash on KY 192 leaves passenger critically injured in Laurel County
LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A London woman is facing DUI charges after deputies say she crossed the centerline and caused a serious head-on crash that left another driver’s passenger critically hurt.
According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, 39-year-old Amber Taylor is accused of causing the crash Friday night along Kentucky 192.
Investigators say Taylor’s vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and struck another car head-on. Deputies say a passenger in the second vehicle, identified as 31-year-old Trevor Grubb, suffered critical injuries and had to be airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center for treatment.
The sheriff’s office says Taylor was arrested and charged with DUI following the crash. She was booked into the Laurel County Detention Center and later released after posting a $5,000 cash bond.
The crash remains under investigation.
