Former caregiver accused of kidnapping 83-year-old woman

FRANKLIN COUNTY, KY. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A woman accused in a recent incident has been booked into the Franklin County Jail on multiple charges.

Officials say 59-year-old Rita Lang is facing charges including kidnapping, speeding, and fleeing or evading police.

Authorities say Lang is scheduled to appear in Mason County court for an arraignment on Monday.

She is also due in Frankfort for a preliminary hearing on Tuesday.

The case remains under investigation.
