Gov. Andy Beshear announces upcoming book “Go and Do Likewise” set for September release

FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Governor Andy Beshear teased what he calls a message about bringing people together — and it turns out it’s coming in the form of a new book.

Tuesday, Beshear posted on his personal Facebook page that he was preparing to share a major announcement he had been working on for some time, saying he believed it would offer “a path forward” for unity.

Early Wednesday, the governor revealed the announcement: he has written a book titled “Go and Do Likewise: How We Heal a Broken Country.” According to Beshear, the book is scheduled to be released September 22, 2026, with preorders already available online.

In his social media post, Beshear wrote, “Go and Do Likewise is out Sept. 22, 2026,” alongside a link for readers to reserve a copy ahead of the launch.

The governor has not shared many additional details yet about the book’s content, but the title and messaging suggest it will focus on themes of healing and bridging political divides.
