KSP investigating a two-vehicle fatal collision in Hardin County

HARDIN COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Kentucky State Police are investigating a deadly crash that shut down part of Interstate 65 Monday morning near Lebanon Junction.

According to KSP, the two-vehicle collision happened around 9:50 a.m. in the northbound lanes near mile marker 103. Investigators say traffic had slowed because of an earlier crash when a car struck the rear of a tractor-trailer.

Troopers say the driver of the car, 29-year-old Drew Cooken-Master of Hodgenville, died at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.

Northbound lanes near the Joe Prather exit were closed for about three hours while crews worked the scene and investigators gathered information.

Kentucky State Police say the crash remains under investigation.
