One injured, driver arrested on DUI charges after crash on I-64 in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — One person was injured and another arrested following a late Sunday night crash on I-64 westbound near Haley Pike, according to the Lexington Police Department.
Police say two vehicles were involved in the collision. One driver was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The other driver, 21-year-old Jacob Diallo, was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence.
Police say Diallo is facing multiple charges, including operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving, tampering with physical evidence, possession of marijuana, and operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license.
Diallo is being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
The crash remains under investigation.
