FCPS allows afternoon and evening activities to resume at middle and high schools
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — After another weather-related closure, Fayette County Public Schools says middle and high school activities will go on as noted this afternoon and evening.
Thursday marked the district’s eighth snow day of the school year, with classes canceled because icy conditions on bus routes were still considered unsafe.
So far this winter, FCPS has used four nontraditional instruction (NTI) days — January 26 through 29 — along with eight snow days: December 2, December 12, December 15, January 30, and February 2 through 5.
Right now, March 20 is the only confirmed make-up day on the calendar, with several other potential dates already built into the district’s instructional schedule if more closures are needed.
