New Circle Road blasting operations scheduled in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) will be conducting blasting operations on New Circle Road/KY4 in Fayette County as part of a widening project in Lexington.
When:
Thursday, June 20: Between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Friday, June 21: Between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28: Between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Where:
New Circle Road/KY 4 – Inner & Outer Loops
What:
Blasting operations will be in effect between Georgetown Road (milepoint 8.732) and Newtown Pike (milepoint 9.318)
- Approximately two to three blasts will occur each day.
- Traffic will be stopped up to a maximum of 20 minutes per blast to allow for the procedure.
As always, all work is scheduled on a tentative basis and is subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
