Investigation underway after dog fatally stabbed in Jessamine County

JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Investigators are asking for the public’s help after a dog was found brutally stabbed multiple times in a Jessamine County neighborhood over the weekend.

According to Jessamine County Animal Care and Control, the dog was discovered Saturday in the Tates Creek Estates area suffering from severe stab wounds. Officials say the animal’s owner was notified, but due to the extent of the injuries, the dog had to be humanely euthanized.

Authorities are now working to identify whoever is responsible for the attack and are urging anyone who may have seen or heard something suspicious in the area to come forward.

Tips can be shared with local law enforcement or Jessamine County Animal Care and Control.
