Gov. Andy Beshear confirmed three more weather related deaths

FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Kentucky’s weather-related death toll has risen to 15, Gov. Andy Beshear said Saturday.

In a post on social media, Beshear confirmed three additional deaths connected to severe winter weather across the state.

The governor said two men — a 73-year-old in Ballard County and a 64-year-old in Hart County — died Saturday morning. Hours later, Beshear announced the death of a 66-year-old man in Daviess County.

“Kentucky, we continue to need your prayers, as our fatalities have now risen to 15,” Beshear wrote. “Let’s wrap our arms around these families during this difficult time.”

Officials have urged residents to continue using caution as winter conditions persist across the state.
