Bluegrass Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week
WINCHESTER, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Winchester Police Department is asking for the public’s help in a long-standing missing persons case involving Thomas “Tom” Edward Profitt.
Police began investigating Profitt’s disappearance on May 3, 2006. On the day he went missing, Profitt spoke with several people close to him, including his daughter. He told her he was on his way to visit her in Lexington, but he never arrived.
Authorities say Profitt was believed to be driving a maroon 1997 Buick Century at the time of his disappearance. The vehicle had a vanity plate on the front that read “Tom & Anna.”
Investigators say any information, no matter how small it may seem, could be important in helping solve the case.
