Pavement Work to Close Part of Frankfort’s High Street

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says some pavement work will require part of the road to close near the State Office Building.

The left lane will be converted to a left-turn only lane that will guide drivers into a parking lot. The center and right lanes will remain as they are now.

Paving work begins at nine a.m. Saturday, with partial lane closures all day. All lanes will close between 11 a.m. and seven p.m.

The state hopes the addition of a turn-only lane will make a High Street crosswalk safer.
