Kentucky General Assembly postpones Monday session due to winter weather
FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Lawmakers in Frankfort will not return to the Capitol on Monday as winter weather continues to impact travel across Kentucky.
According to the Legislative Research Commission, the General Assembly has postponed Monday’s legislative session because of hazardous weather conditions. Officials also announced the Capitol Annex will be closed for the day.
Lawmakers are now scheduled to reconvene Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m., assuming conditions improve.
State leaders continue urging residents to limit travel as snow and ice remain on many roadways.
