Kentucky National Guard set for Deployment
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – About 60 members of the Kentucky Army National Guard left Saturday for deployment to the Middle East.
The service members were joined by Governor Matt Bevin as well as family and friends to say farewell Saturday morning.
The Kentucky National Guard says the deployment will last about a year, and has been preparing for the deployment for the last 18 months.
