Person injured in Lexington shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Police say one person was injured in a shooting Thursday night in Lexington.

According to police, it happened around 7 p.m. on Northside Drive.

Police say two people were fighting, when one pulled out a gun and started shooting.

Police say a friend of one of them, standing nearby, was hit in the stomach.

They say that person got someone to take them to the hospital, but they are expected to be okay.

Police say a suspect is in custody, but that person’s identity has not been released.
