Lexington Firefighters Respond to Structure Fire on East 5th Street

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Lexington firefighters were dispatched to 322 East 5th Street Wednesday morning for a reported structure fire.

Crews arrived around 9:30 a.m. to find advanced fire conditions and quickly upgraded the response to a working fire. Firefighters initially battled the blaze from the outside but later moved inside the building to extinguish remaining hotspots.

Officials say the fire has been knocked down, and no injuries have been reported.

Fire investigators remained on scene to determine the origin and cause of the fire.
