Some people in Hazard still without water due to line breaks

HAZARD, Ky. (WTVQ) – Some people in Hazard still don’t have any water as new line breaks are discovered, slowing the process to return service to all customers.

City officials still hope to return water service to customers on Wednesday, but they say there’s no guarantee that will happen after new water line breaks were discovered Tuesday.

City water customers were asked to conserve late last week after a water emergency was declared due to water line breaks and to a lesser extent, a high volume of customers allowing faucets to drip during the arctic cold snap.
